It is always hard to submit images to competitions or to feature publications – the incredible work out there is truly outstanding, and it is hard to compete sometimes. I can only imagine the work that goes on behind the scenes when choosing what images to accept or publish on a platform.
But, once in a while, I get brave, and I submit something to the great prestige which is Vogue Italia’s Photovogue section on their website. Photographers from all over the world and of all different genres are allowed to submit two images, once a week (and not every week at that) for consideration to be published. More often than not, rejection happens. And that’s OK. But I was hopeful that some of the Kintsugi images would get in – and so I submitted – and guess what? They got in!
