Monochrome | Handmade Journal

I enjoy challenging myself in my book making, stepping out of my comfort zone is really a good way to grow. I certainly learned that over the years! It is so easy to get comfy in your happy place, and then get stuck in a rut, always doing the same thing over and over again.

So, I told myself, why not try and create a journal with just one colour palette – and of course, looking through my stash, I realised that I had a lot of stuff in black and white, and so, out came my Monochrome journal.

She is made of entirely recycled and reused materials – from the paper bag cover to the sample card interiors, there is very little “new” stuff in her. Pocket sized she will make a great travel journal, and I made sure she has lots of little tuck spots.

She is currently for sale in my Etsy store, so do please have a look and let me know what you think!
