Family. What does it mean exactly?

I decided to start this project to explore this new definition of the word.

The first entry in the Cambridge (online) dictionary for the word family is this:

a group of people who are related to each other, such as a mother, a father, and their children:

I believe that there is much more to that. And to be fair, further along on the page are a number of other definitions – a sign of things changing. I wanted to explore this change through imagery. Through interviews with the participating families in the project.
