In Harmony with Nature

This weekend I had some special mummy-daughter time with my eldest. She is often pushed aside thanks to the demanding nature of her little sister, so I thought we should have some special time together.

I let her choose what she wanted to do, and she chose a walk in the woods to look for snowdrops.

And so off we went.

She is my wild child. I always call her that – she is happiest when outdoors under the trees. She sings to them and dances under them, and hugs and talks to them. She climbs them with no fear. She looks for bugs and collects sticks, splashes in the water and looks for shrimp in the summer.

Through her, I relive and live my dream childhood, under the stars and the great big sky, with the sound of rushing water filling my ears, picking wild berries and stuffing my face right there and then. Singing songs to the trees when nobody was looking.

Keep going my darling, keep singing to the trees and dancing in the wind. I love you as you are, never stop.
